Glossary

Battery or cell = unit that accumulates electrical energy of continuous current.

Alkaline = the most widespread technology of batteries for the consumer market. It has a voltage of 1.5V.

Ampere (A) = unit of measurement of electric current.

Auto download = phenomenon that indicates the progressive download of the battery or accumulator even if you do not use them.

Battery = set of batteries or accumulators connected electronically and mechanically.

Lead acid battery = accumulator economic technology used mainly for simple applications or for engine starting.

Rechargeable battery =  technology that allows multiple charge / discharge cycles.

Capacity (Ah) = Amount of energy stored by a cell, battery or accumulator.

Upload = process that converts electrical energy into chemical energy.

Charger = appliance that implements the charging process of a battery.

Cycle = set of a charging phase and a discharging phase.

Parallel connection = when two or more stacks, two or more storage batteries are connected in such a way as to sum the capacity leaving the voltage unchanged.
You can only use identical batteries or accumulators.

Series connection = when two or more stacks, two or more storage batteries are connected in such a way as to sum the voltage leaving unchanged the capacity.
You can only use identical batteries or accumulators.

Elettric current = Current electricity flow in amperes.

Charging current = flow of electricity that enters a battery when connected to a battery charger.
It is measured in Amperes (A).

Discharge current = flow of electrical energy that comes from the battery or from the battery to power a device.
It is measured in Amperes (A).

Short Circuit = Direct connection between the two poles of a battery or an accumulator.
Dangerous action to avoid.

Lithium-thionyl chloride = is a technology of non-rechargeable batteries. It offers the highest energy density and the largest operating range.

Lithium-Manganese = is the most widespread technology of non-rechargeable lithium batteries. Available both in cylindrical format than button.

batteries = Non-rechargeable cell batteries.

Terminal = the poles of a battery, an accumulator or a battery.

Volt (V) = voltage measurement units.

Watt (W) = a unit of power.

Watt-hours (Wh) = unit of energy.
